This past week marked my 8-year anniversary at Tantrum Agency. It’s been a crazy few years, and I’ve been forever changed as the Creative Director for such a talented team.
When I first spoke with David Tann about the opportunity to join him, I wasn’t exactly sure about leaving behind the structure of a large corporate art department. However, it didn’t take long to realize that while I was giving up some stability, what I was getting in return has been paramount to my growth as a professional and person.

Since starting, I’ve had to expand my creative chops since we deal with so many different client types—from shoe companies and professional sports to small starts up and non-profits—our clients firmly trust us to grow their business, expand their awareness and enhance their voice. Market share and ROI have now become part of my growing lexicon, and every day I continue to lean into and learn more about what is needed to help drive our clients’ success forward.

I’ve grown more confident in ways I didn’t expect and believe that my value in our firm is more important than just a CD. Being nimble with a willingness to bet on myself has allowed me to be a stronger teammate, strengthen my leadership skills and become a more experienced and engaged business partner.

I’ve also been grateful to walk and work alongside David and experience our progress first-hand. Back in 2018, there were just two of us, and while we had some growing pains, we’re now a crew of 10. It may seem cliché to say we have the best people, but besides making me laugh and smile daily, I’m humbled to be part of such a talented team. They really are some of the best designers, writers, and pros, and regardless of the project or client type, they sho-up and sho-out!
Thanks to David for phone call and opportunity to join him 8 years ago and a HUGE thank you to the Tantrum team Lindsay Niedringhaus, Tracey Del Moral, Allison Peden, Christina Yasi, Josh Vick, Michael Gutierrez-Nery, Phillip Sidberry, and Sigele Winbush for allowing me to be part of something special. Cheers to finding clarity in chaos!
