The Future Of Fast

Topo was ready to go faster. The Pro Series introduced the most advanced footwear in the brand’s history, beginning with the Specter 3 and culminating in Specter Elite, Topo’s first-ever carbon-plated racing shoe. Tantrum was tasked with creating a launch platform that could connect both drops while giving each one its own moment.

Built for What’s Next

We created a new Pro Series mark using motion blur to give the identity a sense of acceleration. A gradient system inspired by graphics on the shoes became the visual thread connecting the collection, giving us a flexible device that could evolve from one launch to the next.

First Out of the Blocks

Specter 3 introduced the Pro Series in a tightly controlled palette of navy and electric blue, creating a monochromatic world that put the emphasis on speed, performance, and the shoe’s new RevFoam ATPU technology.

And the shoe delivered. Believe in the Run called Specter 3 “fantastic” and “maybe one of the best of 2026,” praising its balance of comfort and performance. But Specter 3 was only the beginning.

Faster Days Are Coming

Specter 3 wasn't just the first launch. It was the beginning of the reveal. Once the shoe dropped, we began teasing what was next with a pixelated, obscured image of Specter Elite and a simple promise: Something big is coming. The campaign gave runners just enough to know another level of performance was on its way without giving away what it was.

When the secret was finally out, we turned anticipation into a countdown. A race-bib-inspired clock on the website marked the time until Specter Elite officially dropped.The whole experience was designed to build momentum from one launch to the next.

Same Series. Different Speed.

Specter Elite needed to feel like a bigger moment because it was one. Topo's first carbon-plated super shoe represented a significant step into high-performance racing. So we pushed the Pro Series identity further. Brighter gradients. Grainy duotone photography. Motion, blur, and unexpected image treatments created a world that felt less like traditional running photography and more like a glimpse of running at another speed.
